Route 35X Spring Service (eff. 3/12/26): Weekdays: The 3:16pm and 4:16pm departures from Scotts Valley Transit Center to Boulder Creek will depart three minutes later at 3:19pm and 4:19pm to allow riders coming from Scotts Valley Dr on Route 34 to transfer to Route 35X.

Route 3A Detour, Bridge Closure
Due to the ongoing Murray Street Bridge Seismic Retrofit Project, Route 3A is operating on adjusted routing in both directions. This routing is now reflected in METRO's standard schedules. Visit https://scmetro.org/seabrightshuttle for more information about the Seabright Shuttle. Service on Seabright Avenue will return when construction allows. Riders are encouraged to check current routing and stop locations on the Routes & Schedules page, use the Transit App for trip planning and real-time information and alerts, or visit rt.scmetro.org.

Some departure times from both Scotts Valley Transit Center and Big Basin State Park have been adjusted by up to 15 minutes to accommodate connections to/from the Highway 17 Express.

Santa Cruz METRO
- Santa Cruz METRO offers free transfers on Local service. If paying your fare with cash or pass, request a transfer from your operator when boarding. Transfers will be available for two hours only. METRO Splash Pass fares are valid for two hours in the mobile app.
- Transfers are also available from local routes to the Highway 17 Express with payment of the difference in fare.
- Taking more than two round trips? Save money by purchasing a Day Pass in advance, or from the Operator
Monterey Salinas Transit (MST)
Santa Cruz METRO Passengers to MST:
- Santa Cruz METRO transfers or Day Passes cannot be applied towards the purchase of any MST fare media
- MST will honor a free valid Santa Cruz METRO transfer as payment for:
- passengers boarding lines 28 and 29 at the Watsonville Transit Center from Lane 2
- MST will NOT honor transfers issued from the Amtrak/Highway 17 Express service
- MST will honor Santa Cruz METRO discount photo ID for travel on any MST route along with the appropriate discount fare
- MST does NOT honor Santa Cruz METRO 31-Day passes
MST Passengers to Santa Cruz METRO:
- Santa Cruz METRO will honor free valid MST transfers for one-way travel within the Santa Cruz METRO service area as far as the temporary River Front Transit Center in Downtown Santa Cruz.
- There is no additional fare to travel to Santa Cruz when boarding with an MST transfer
- Obtain a transfer when you first board MST
- Santa Cruz METRO will honor MST discount photo ID for travel on any Santa Cruz METRO route along with the appropriate discount fare
- MST GoPasses are not honored on any Santa Cruz METRO buses.
Valley Transit Authority (VTA)
Amtrak/Highway 17 Express Day Passes (Day, 31-Day) :
- Allow unlimited rides on ALL Santa Cruz METRO & VTA Local routes
- VTA Light Rail Transfers are issued ONLY with:
- Highway 17 Express Day Pass, Highway 17 Express Cruz Pass, and Cruz Cash cards
