Thank you, METRO employees
On March 18, Santa Cruz METRO recognizes National Transit Employee Appreciation Day and celebrates the employees who keep Santa Cruz County moving every day. From bus operators and dispatch to maintenance, facilities, customer service, ParaCruz, and administrative staff, our team helps people get to work, school, medical appointments, and essential services. We appreciate their professionalism, care, and commitment to the community we serve.
Share your thanks
We invite riders and community members to leave a short message of appreciation for METRO employees. Messages can be shared in a few ways:
- If you are at a METRO transit center, look for a kudos poster board and add your message.
- If you are not at a transit center, you can submit a message online using the Kudos Form linked on the flyer.

What is National Transit Employee Appreciation Day?
National Transit Employee Appreciation Day is observed each year on March 18 as a chance for communities to recognize transit professionals and the essential role they play in keeping people connected to jobs, school, healthcare, and daily life.
